Supporting the feel-good pop band Deco alongside indie superstars Black Cats and Magpies, For The Girl opened up Rescue Rooms stage on April 6th. Opening with their single 'Wouldn't You Like To Know' released last year, which always starts the show off with a lot of energy and a powerful guitar solo.

Following that with the classics 'Breathe' and 'Phonics', getting everyone who knows them singing along, before singing the beautiful track 'My Poison' which we're all patiently waiting for the release of.

As a way to make sure the audience sings along, For The Girl always play a cover everyone knows. The audience went crazy as they blasted out Ricky Martin's 'Livin' la Vida Loca' and got everybody dancing. After playing one that everyone knows they then played one nobody knows.
For the first time, they played their newest song 'Goodbye Kiss'. It could've brought tears to my eyes, definitely a new favourite! I'm very looking forward to its release.

Finishing off with their well-known hit 'Where Did Time Go', For The Girl definitely stole the show! I can't wait till I'm no longer seeing them as a support, but headlining Rescue Rooms!

Marvins Revenge: CLOCKWORK PIZZA PRESS

Written by Niamh Christian

On the 15th March, Marvin's revenge released their second single Clockwork Pizza Press and the response has been brilliant. Having only discovering Marvin's Revenge recently, it was great to discover a band with such raw talent and the ability to create such brilliant music.

Clockwork Pizza Press contains everything you want in a song: catchy melody, alongside a quick beat, raspy vocals and a showstopping guitar solo thrown in the middle. Listening to it instantly makes you feel ready to get up and boogie.
The tone of the song starts so light and upbeat but soon takes a turn with nasty guitar riffs and a heavy finish to the song.

Despite playing together at Secondary School, Marvin's Revenge has only been together for just over a year, and Clockwork Pizza Press is their second single release. It was recorded at
Dubrek Studios in Derby by Jay Dean. The song came about because they wanted to create a really energetic song that'd make the crowd bounce and it's become one of their favourites to play live. I must admit, after listening to the song, I'm excited to see it Live.

If you also want to Catch Marvin's Revenge playing Clockwork Pizza Press live, come down to the Angel Microbrewery on the 27th April to catch them and Distant Blue supporting Clonk for an amazing night hosted by AC Audio.
